Quick Logo Tings

Hrmm, haven’t posted in here for a while…

This is for a client, Bookstar Artist Management

Made the letters in Flash… I don’t know, its a more free, creative workspace than illustrator, for me anyways…

But,
Excuse the cheesy gloss effect.

BEe Dub!

:stuck_out_tongue:

digging this out again,

We’ve decided to go with my original logo (albeit with much more tweaking and stuff)

for two reasons:

1.) The logo mock ups paddy and bird-e did were amazing, but gave the company name too much of a publishing company feel, as opposed to rocking and/or rolling.

2.) They also reminded me too much of this

But thanks anyways lads, you really went above and beyond with those mock ups… further than I did with the logo we’re going with lol, but, sometimes thats life… I guess ?

:fab:

I have nothing useful to say relevant to you, but
And the stroke on the star is small because the thicker you make the stroke, the more rounded some of the inside edges become.
You just have to mitre the corners.

Yea but that requires effort :stuck_out_tongue:

I just selected mitre in the line properties. You’re right, maybe that is too much :stuck_out_tongue:

Bahhaahahah, Yep, if it doesn’t immediately make itself apparent, it shall be disregarded

Faster, I think GlosRFC stole your period (".") to use in his ant horde.

I still think it’s very weak. Both stylistically and accessibly. I presume that the BS would be used as part of a lock up with the name and I’d like to see how you’re going to do this.

I think that this logo could be a lot better and I don’t think you’ll be happy with yourself if you settle for what you have. Don’t present sub-par work, even if the client is OK with it. It’s your work after all. :puzzled:

Keep working on it.

Did the client give you a company projection? Where do they see themselves and their brand in 1 year/2 years/5 years? Right now it seems like there’s no thought or planning in the concept and that will be a problem in the future.

Get brainstorming Jamie because you’re a very gifted illustrator and you have a good eye for design. I know you can do better.
