I agree with the new layout thing. As for content, it is quite perfect. The tutorials, new SOTW, sponsors, forum new posts are quite good. But yeah a new layout would be nice. I haven’t been a fan of the shadow thing around containers. I agree that a CSS layout would be good - it’ll load faster and keep the bandwidth down. Web2.0 :thumb:
Yeah, imagine the bandwidth savings! Download the css once, and then the transfer size for each page goes down by… what, four times or something? It was huge for the example page I made.
There might be a major site overhaul this summer, for I have plans for that drawn up already. I won’t guarantee a full table-less layout, but there will be greater use of CSS in laying out stuff than currently. In other words, fewer tables.

That’s becoming increasingly overused. I prefer a site that actually has a use for the home page as “the home page”. Not the “blog” page.
Yeah, agreed. We definitely don’t need a blog.
Technically, a blog is a list of updated material on the site. It’d be nice to have like an editorial section about Flash/web technologies

The skinning system between vB and the main site are completely different. Well, the skinning system is non-existant for the main site haha. I’ll try to see what I can do though.
Regarding the blog, I am not in favor of it. This site has a lot of content from the forums that might be considered blog-like, and I think a blog system was tried where mods get to blog about design topics on blogs.kirupa.com or something. It never panned out 
I would like to see better layout with the supporters and advertisements. I think using a pixel font is boring and a sans-serif font or a serif would be good to replace it. Something that looks structured yet a tutorial something which reflects what we do.

Just woke up and something very simple popped outta my head.
Use a metallic gradient in the background… I love shiny gradients on webpages… Well that would actually eventually mean a complete overhaul of things.
I’m sure nokrev and the other CSS Gods will be able to do some amazing stuff… And me, the tiny being, is always here to help in anyway possible. 
ACIDplanet.com recently overhauled their site recently… It looks amazing… I’d say check out atleast a 1000 examples before deciding on
one. Why?
