Why pink?

It’s not too bad, however some of your fonts are a bit small (portfolio items).

You have a good amount of content and it seems well organised.

Yeah, the color choice seems kind of retina-damaging

hehe =) I like the colour, it’s different  sometimes its good to go against the ordinary

I Like the Blue but the Pink doesn’t go too well with me.
Nice use of courier, not used very often - but I like that font.
“by Nathan Bertram” is smudged at the top banner
"version two" is also smudged on the top banner

Quotes Page- I would use the courier font there too to keep things uniform
same thing can be said with the about page.

Other than that (lol) it is a nice site to look at.

My only gripe is the whole site seems rather wordy for a portfolio site. I honestly won’t site there and read 6 pages about your skills, history, yadda yadda. If you were a bit more concise in the “About Me”, “Process”, and “Self Rating” area, I think potential employers might find it more useful. The pages look nice imo, just too much to look through-- I end up just breezing by it and not reading anything.

It looks like you saved your images in a crappy quality or have some sort of a blur/dropshadow/glow that’s fuzzing the edges. As for the pink I’m not a fan but tinting it a bit brighter would lessen the contrast and help the page. Not a whole lot of work for a portfolio site.

However, I do like the explanations of the process used to achieve your result. Not enough designers show that on porfolios and if your process is strong it strenghtens your skills in the mind of viewers.

Thank for your responses  its opened my eyes to a few things. Well first of all keeping the font uniform, I’ll try get that up to steam ;p personally I like slight alterations but others tend to notice. as for my site being too “wordy”, i think that’s true in the respect that no one these days have an attention span greater than a five year old. If it chases clients away that cant read then very well, I’m a man of many words and that’s my way of doing things. However, I’d prefer working for an employer who takes the time to read that “stuff” because that usually shows a more competent client. I am relative to the point. A paragraph of text isn’t alot at all unless you have some kind of mad ADD =). As for the “crappy quality” I feel it’s fine, I could maybe re-compress the images so that they are better quality. It could be that my computer displays these images well when others at lower resolutions display them otherwise. AS for work on this portfolio, I’m still working up as I go up. I’d rather not include work that isn’t complete/un-professional. But yeah.

Anyways the comments are appreciated, thanks a million!
