A large percentage being??? Where did you hear this from?
I found this story, about a small number of layoffs taking place in July…
anything that made macs desirable or particularly special is gone. Windos 2000 and XP (which are pretty damn stable compareed to ME,98) and the low cost and easy upgradeability of PC’s makes having a Mac almost pointless. Altho, Macs do have superior power in video editing and Print related work. Flash MX sux on macs.
I think they were trying to say that they didn’t lay people off because the company was falling, but maybe because workers in that area weren’t holding up… not sure.

Still the bottom Line is,
The Mac OSX is far more stable than any windows ever created.
My feelings with windows are, they had all this time to get it right, and still havent gotten it right or close. I think they are more political and are starting to forget their customers. I think Microsoft will always be not as great as others.
ALso hate how they have so many mediokre Programmers rather than several Great Programmers.

my windows hardly ever crashes…only when i have like quake 3 and PS and dreamweaver running at the same time!..but i guess more ram would fix my woes.
more software and games are based towards pc and also the mac isn’t flexible…how do you upgrade and replace parts with that little white thingy…it does look cool tho
