Critics Please - New Logo

Hey,

I have been trying to design a new Kedoa.com logo for a long time now. I have played around with a few ideas, and here are some of them. Please feel free to give me ways on how to improve it.

By the way I am going with the theme of design resources / favorite websites…

Out of the three, I think the middle one is the most attractive… But the bottom one is the most readable.

I like number 3.
The heart appears sympathetic to the letterforms.
The heart could be simpler and more sympathetic in shape.
(the compound curves in the lower part of heart shape are what I’m referring to)
Not sure if the “e” and tail on the “K” are working with this design.

Third one kicks butt. Good job!

Of those, I like #3. It’s more readable, and it fits better with the rest of the font. I think you could make the heart a tad bigger in #3. I don’t really like the ‘e’, it just seems odd.

Looks pretty okay though, no big complaints from me. :thumb:

Fix the e- it doesn’t read well. You need more interaction between forms and flow!

Really poor kerning and the face is really stiff.

^ Now that I examine it, you’re completely right. Shame on me.

Do you even know what that is?^

^ What, kerning and face? Yes. I use them all the time in Photoshop. Why?

Using them, and knowing what looks good are two different things

^Too true…I’ve experimented enough to know what looks good though.

Why the heart? Wouldn’t you rather use a symbol that’s relevant to your content?

Yeah it looks liek a dating service.

clearly.

^ Yep. That’s a great example. Glad you posted that. Good job!

I am NEVER sarcastic.

I know. That’s why I believed you.

This is fun.[/COLOR]

Stop derailing threads … regarding OP, not really feeling those. The first one is most visually appealing to me, but not quite readable :X

Back on topic-

I think a glyph would help inspire something typographical.
