It doesn’t have to take a bad experience to open one’s eyes to see what is around you - try to understand that I am not criticisizing anyone’s beliefs - I have no right and do not presume to do so - I am just stating my own. Everyone has a right to believe in what they will without being criticisized for it. But just for debate’s sake - why do you point your finger exclusively at Christians?
Regarding the war issue - I wanted to give a shorter answer but if you look at another statement later on that I made in my post in clearly shows that it is basically about taking something off someone else. Personal ambitions you say - that generally means having money and power does it not? Ideologic reasons - show me one war that has been about an ideologic reason where there was no material loss to the country, group etc that was attacked, please if you can I am willing to learn. Self defence - I was not talking about the poor sucker who gets attacked… Preventing future catastrophies - can u please elaborate?
I know very well that the war between Israel and Palestine is about land but consider the reasons that peace has not been reached if you will.
Let’s start first with the fact that the Arabs and Israeli’s who hate one another do it because that is all they have been taught to do all their lives by the very people who profit from this war and there are many beginning with the weapon’s industry to the politicians. There are too many economical benefits for both sides (I am NOT talking about the people here but about special interest groups) for the war to end. Israel benefits from war aid as well as Palestine and guess where the money goes - it doesn’t very well go towards helping people but into weapons production and different high ranking people’s pockets (my apologies but I find that 99% of politicians are corrupt - some overtly like in Eastern Europe and third world countries etc and some at a higher more subtle level like in Western Europe and America). So in the end it does come down to money does it not?
Religion can at times be a hot issue. People are passionate about thier beliefs. Thats what makes faith so great.
