Had a rethink on the site. There’s two artists up now and more to come - tell me what you think, I’d appreciate it.
ur preloaders awesome u do sum cool art as well ive always fancied a big tag on my wall but it aint never gonn happen anyway nice buttons

I like the overall look and feel.
The only negative thing I saw, was the font on the buttons (old english kinda) really didn’t go with the style of the site, and was not used anywhere else. Kinda an orphan. I was taught a rule of thumb:
In any project, never use more than 3 fonts. This makes the choices so much harder, since they must work together.

good to see you posting again, the artwork on your site is awesome. Nice work.

Anothing thing. When you switch from section to section, ie from “what we do” to “where we are” It sticks w/ the current scroll position, so do this on each of the menu buttons…
add a small line of code that says:
_root.TargetOfScrollBox.scroll = 0
add that to each of the buttons and it will begin each section with the text at the top of the scroller.
I have to agree with reverendflash that the old english type does not fit with the sites theme.
Yea, I found what Jubba said quite annoying. Also, my navigation buttons stuck out into the middle of the page. I dunno if they are supposed to do that.
Hey,
Not to reiterate what the others say but I do agree with all that they said. Especially the font.
Having said that, maybe it’s the font that should stay and the rest that should change. And I don’t mean this in a bad way. Honest!
I don’t get the feeling that your sites image represents the product.
I had no idea I was on a graff site until I checked out the artwork. It looks very cool and futuristic. I’m just not so sure that it works with Graff.
Anyways, that said and done, I would add a bit more color and a bit more animation.
I would think about using a nice TAG font like Brooklyn Kid and make your body font smaller.
The artwork was amazing. Graff is the reason I’m doing what I do today.
Keep it up.
Thanks for the feedback guys - sorry I’ve been slow to get back to you all on it, as some of you know I’ve moved out to Oz for a bit and life’s a bit upside down at the moment.
I should just say that, as I know you are all aware, kirupaforum is a four leafed clover in the field of online chat. The time, energy and input expended by everyone that is involved here, especially the moderators, is never less than remarkable.
As far as the site goes it’s been partially on hold for a little while pending a proper rethink. Unfortunately, I’ve had to put things on hold half way through the last rethink which is never good. Fortunately we are not talking to clients yet so it’s getting minimal attention anyway.
Regarding the comments however:
Yes - the site is not graf enough. In an area that has a phenomenal amount of cool images and styles the site really doesn’t reflect them.
I guess this is because when I was first designing it I had the people that I would be selling the work to in mind - ie: advertisers - and so tried to give it a dark edgy modern london feel.
The german gothic script is very fashionable amongst the style mags and shops and so I looked to make a feature out of the buttons by using it. I wanted them to stand out a bit, but then I also wanted to screw the whole site up a bit more as well. Make it rougher and more punk. Harder than you might think when one wants to keep it professional looking as well. I think some colour halftone images would work well but then - considering your advice, I think maybe I want to just focus on it’s being a cleaner fresher graf site.
When I get back I may well be working with a guy who headed up the online Sacchi and Saachi team and who also knows a lot of the artists, so it should pick up - but your many minds are always always much appreciated.
excellent grafitti art!!! the site, well I thought the buttons were too big and that the menu took too much screen space
but your images, they are really good!
yea another way to stick it to the man
not sure I understand you T-O??
