Actually… it would be still… Thanks Rev for correcting me.
No problem,
It’s what I live for…
:beam:
Rev
Ok… I’m home. And come to see Rev ready to kill me!
But then Phil came and answered for me the questions you asked. Who’s to say that there wasn’t enough food on the ark to feed everyone, along with the animals? The size of the ark holds at least one and a half million cubic feet of space and was more than adequate to hold these animals and their provisions.
In response to all the different species:
Since the flood, many of the offspring of those on the Ark would have become reproductively isolated in some degree due to (for lack of better word at the moment) mutations and natural genetic variations. New species have proliferated, and all of today’s species did not have to be on the ark. For example, a small number of beetles could have sired the 290,000 species of beetles existing today. A pair of wolf-like animals are probably the ancestors of the coyote, the dingo, the jackal, the fox, and over a hundred variteies of domestic dogs.
Oh yeah, Rev, I never said I had to go home to think. I said that I didn’t have time, at that moment, to write an inteligent sentence while concentrating on other matters. I don’t know ya Rev, I hope that our differing views don’t stand in the way of us becoming Best-ist E-Friends!
During the Roman Empire, Romans had a approximate life expectancy of 22 to 25 years. In 1900, the world life expectancy was approximately 30 years and in 1985 it was about 62 years, just one year short of today’s life expectancy.
again, the bible is cool as metaphor. there’s a whole lot of it that just doesn’t stand up to hard fact though.
Danno:
The current lifeforms could not have “evolved” from 1 pair of each animal…
It has been proven that a variable gene pool is necessary for the species to survive.
As Bit-101 said, nice metaphor on how to control people to act the way you want them to, and to explain scientific stuff that the average person of that time could believe.
I am bowing out of this thread. I have stated all my views, and we will have to agree to disagree on this point.
If you are trying to be my friend, this is not the way to go about it… Keep religeon to yourself, or speak of it elsewhere… This is a Flash forum.
Rev
Wow rev that was pretty harsh.
I dont agree with Everything Danno has said either -but he has his point of view too.
As for this being a flash forum - you couldnt be more right. But this is a RANDOM section , talk about whatever you want. Not just flash.
Ya, this thread is kind of pointless now. Everybody has stated their opinions and saying something on the internet rarely causes someone to change their whole view on religion.
Everyone has different views on religion… there is really no point in arguing your side.
That is what sucks about views and opinions… there are always other people that disagree and are willing to argue them.
But without them… where would we be?
You’re all going to hell…merry xmas <:}
Of course I am. Fire and Brimstone. The bad ones get all the good stuff. :evil:
LOL, you crack me up Dan.
:pirate: Yar… me gold is buried so far I can’t get to it here, maybe I can get me gold from hell.
Merry Christmas <:}
Ok this thread has taken a bit of a morbid turn I think
time to say good bye to the religion thread and say hello to christmas… Hey is that Irony or am I just being Alanis?

That’s a great point… if you didn’t take it out of context. Let me ask you WHY people during the empire of the romans were expected to live so short? Ok… EXACTLY. They were UNDER AN EMPIRE. The empire controlled how long they lived, not nature. Not the conditions of the earth that made them not live long, but what was withheld from them that the earth so READILY was willing to offer.
